Yes! Family Tree Maker 2024 includes TreeSync technology that allows seamless synchronization with Ancestry.com. You can download your tree, merge changes, and keep both versions up-to-date automatically. An Ancestry subscription is required for full access to records and hints.
Family Tree Maker 2024 can open files from previous versions (FTM 2017, 2019, etc.). Simply use File > Open and select your .ftm or .ftmb file. The software will automatically convert it to the current format. We recommend backing up your original file before conversion.
Family Tree Maker is currently designed for desktop use on Windows and Mac computers. However, you can access your synced tree on mobile devices through the Ancestry app when connected via TreeSync. Check our support page for updates on mobile features.
